Isaac is very handsome.

I like dogs, but I'm really a cat person. My husband is the opposite, so we'll always have at least one of each, and they'll just have to get along. Our current cat is Felicity, an orange tiger, but her nickname is "Empress of the Universe". If my husband doesn't brush her right after he shaves every morning, she scolds him. Sometimes she sits in the hallway and starts yelling at him before he's even done shaving. Since I work at home, she summons me when she's hungry or wants a scratch. She likes very much to be held but is not a lap cat.

If you haven't already, you must read "The Silent Meow" by Paul Gallico; should be in your local library. Has lots of photos- it's easily finished on a Sunday afternoon- after the game of course...

"Empress of the Universe"

LOL. Our nickname is "His Royal Stripedness."

Isaac was never a lap cat until about two years ago when he decided my lap was a good a spot. Melissa grew up on a farm and always had tons of cats. My family did not have pets growing up but I have always loved both dogs and cats. If we had a bigger yard, I suspect we would consider a canine. It is amazing how much these furry critters get under your skin.

Thanks for the book tip. I’ll check it out.
