    Dining Out Declines

Carpe Diem: More Food At Home, Less Dining Out

I tend to eat out a lot a lunch. Last week I went to restaurant that I used to frequent a twice a month but had not been to in at least a couple of months. I showed up at about 1:45 pm and when I came at that late hour in the past there used to be ten or more tables filled. When I walked in last week, I was the only customer in the place and only one group came in during the time I was there. This chart illustrates why but notice it doesn't have the last month or so. I wonder where that line is now. (Also be sure to check out Carpe Diem's charts on grocery purchases by contrast.)
